LIVELY LATTICE QUILT
August 13, 2012 (09:30am) 1 Session, 3 Hours
(Beginner Level)
Want a quilting project you can finish quickly and easily?? This is the class for you! If you have never tried the “Fun & Done” process for quilting, you will be amazed at how fast you can COMPLETE an entire quilt—top, batting, backing, binding—everything in a few easy steps.
Class Fee: $20.00 plus Supplies
LIVELY LATTICE QUILT SUPPLY LIST
Machine, cleaned, oiled and in good working condition, and all normal sewing accessories (including the power cord, foot control, and slide on tray (if your machine has one). Walking foot and 1/4” foot for your machine.
Pattern: Lively Lattice Quilt pattern by Prairie Sky Quilting (available at Margie’s).
Supplies:
A. Fun & Done Batting Buddy (available at Margie’s).
B. One piece of template plastic, a permanent marker with a fine tip and a pair of scissors that can be used to cut the template plastic.
C. Fabric as specified on the pattern to make any size you choose. (We will only put together at least two rows during class.)
D. Prior to class cut your three fabrics and batting as stated under “Cutting Directions” in the pattern.
The pattern suggests pressing your batting with steam to remove wrinkles prior to cutting. The “dryer method” works well for me. I put my uncut piece of batting in the dryer with a damp towel for a few minutes. Takes the wrinkles out and allows the batting to “relax”.
Needle: Microtex size 80/12.
Thread: Aurifil (or any thread of similar quality) to blend with your fabric. Two bobbins wound with the same thread.
Pins, scissors, seam ripper, rotary cutter with a fresh blade, medium sized cutting mat, 7” x 14” ruler.
Please feel free to call me at the above number if you have any questions.
